Director / Head of Energy-as-a-Service – India

About the role

As Director / Head of Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) for India, you will spearhead Keppel’s growth in one of the world’s fastest‑expanding energy markets. Reporting to the Singapore headquarters, you will establish Cooling‑as‑a‑Service (CaaS) and EaaS offerings, build strategic partnerships, and support market entry initiatives in the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute the Go‑to‑Market strategy for EaaS and CaaS in India, aligning with the global brand while adapting to local conditions.
• Collaborate with regional and global teams to shape Middle‑East market entry strategies, leveraging insights from India.
• Identify and develop opportunities across renewable energy, battery storage, waste‑to‑energy, and related fields, working closely with partners such as Tata Power.
• Build and nurture relationships with government agencies, corporate clients, service providers, and equipment suppliers.
• Lead proposal development, partnership frameworks, and contract negotiations from inception to execution.
• Conduct market analyses to pinpoint bottlenecks, emerging opportunities, and risks, delivering scalable solutions.
• Oversee business development, project management, engineering, and operations for the India team, ensuring alignment with Singapore HQ and Middle‑East teams.

Required profile

• MBA combined with a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the energy or infrastructure sector, including at least 5 years in senior business development or strategic leadership roles.
• Deep knowledge of India’s energy market, regulatory environment, and infrastructure needs; familiarity with Middle‑East markets is a strong plus.
• Proven track record in high‑growth, dynamic environments with an entrepreneurial mindset.
