Direct Tax & Advisory Associate (0-2 yrs)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and analytical professional to join our Chartered Accountancy and Advisory firm as a Direct Tax & Advisory Associate. The role offers exposure to corporate tax compliance, litigation support, and financial consulting for a diverse client base that includes multinational corporations, listed companies, expatriates, and family‑owned businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file income tax returns for corporates, firms, LLPs, and high‑net‑worth individuals.
• Handle tax compliance tasks such as TDS and advance tax calculations.
• Draft replies, submissions, and representations before income tax authorities.
• Conduct legal and technical research on tax provisions, judicial precedents, and CBDT circulars.
• Assist in assessments, appeals, notices, and tax litigation matters.
• Prepare tax opinions, memos, and advisory notes.
• Support financial projections, budgeting, MIS reporting, and valuation assignments.
• Participate in financial modelling, business analysis, transaction advisory, and due‑diligence projects.
• Draft professional client communications and maintain assignment documentation.

Required profile

• Qualified ACCA or Chartered Accountant (CA) with up to 2 years post‑qualification experience (freshers welcome).
• Strong understanding of direct taxation concepts and practical compliance.
• Excellent drafting, writing, and communication abilities.
• Analytical mindset with solid research capabilities.
• Professional attitude, ownership mindset, and attention to detail.
