Financial Data Analyst – SQL & Power BI

About the role

As a Financial Data Analyst you will support SITA’s financial analytics team by delivering reliable data insights, building and maintaining dashboards, and ensuring data quality across financial reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance existing Power BI dashboards and reports used for financial analysis.
• Develop new visuals and reports based on business requirements from finance and other departments.
• Write and optimise SQL queries to retrieve and transform financial data from multiple sources.
• Integrate new data into reporting structures while ensuring consistency and accuracy.
• Monitor scheduled data refreshes, troubleshoot load issues, and perform data validation and cleansing.
• Document datasets, data models, and report structures, and provide ad‑hoc analytical support to finance stakeholders.
• Collaborate with senior analysts, finance stakeholders, and IT teams to understand reporting needs and improve processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Computer Science or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analyst roles.
• Strong foundation in SQL for data extraction, transformation and analysis.
• Hands‑on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
• Interest in financial datasets or willingness to develop domain knowledge.
• Familiarity with data‑quality practices and troubleshooting data issues.
• Exposure to Agile ways of working and tools such as Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
