Dining Assistant

About the role

Claiborne Senior Living is seeking a Dining Assistant (DGA) to help create a welcoming, high-quality dining experience for its residents. In senior-living communities, dining goes beyond meals—it fosters connection, comfort, and community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service following standardized recipes and portion guidelines.
• Support residents with special diets and dietary needs as directed.
• Maintain safe food handling, sanitation, and storage practices.
• Keep dining areas clean, organized, and inviting.
• Provide friendly, attentive service and respond promptly to resident requests.
• Collaborate with culinary and care teams to ensure a positive dining experience.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous food service or hospitality experience preferred; training provided.
• Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation standards.
• Strong customer-service orientation and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
