DevOps Engineer – Java, Kafka & Cloud Operations

About the role

The Integration Center of Excellence is looking for an Engineer 2 who will design, develop, and support Java‑based microservices, event‑driven applications, and cloud‑native platforms. The role combines DevOps automation, platform operations, and production support to ensure reliable, scalable integration solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java microservices using Spring Boot.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs following enterprise integration standards.
• Create event‑driven applications with Apache Kafka and reusable integration patterns.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes.
• Automate build, deployment, testing, and release processes.
• Support cloud‑native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Monitor platform health, performance, and deployment metrics.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, middleware, security, and application teams to resolve issues.
• Provide L2/L3 production support and ensure reliability of deployed services.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of professional experience in software development or DevOps.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong ownership mindset for production systems and operational excellence.
