Destination Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Destination Specialist based in Pune to manage product contracting, supplier coordination, and day‑to‑day product maintenance for the Africa destination portfolio. The role supports both B2B and B2C sales channels, ensuring that all travel products are accurate, bookable, and commercially ready.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers for tours, attractions, transfers, guides, safari services, and other travel‑related products, keeping pricing, availability, and terms up to date.
• Collect and verify supplier rates, contracts, cancellation policies, child policies, blackout dates, and payment terms.
• Maintain accurate product information across internal systems and sales platforms, supporting contract renewals and supplier promotions.
• Prepare customized itineraries and quotations for FIT, group, corporate, and B2B clients.
• Manage supplier files, rate sheets, booking instructions, and product SOPs.
• Collaborate with content, system, sales, reservations, and operations teams to ensure products are correctly loaded and ready for sale.
• Monitor product performance, pricing competitiveness, and supplier service levels.
• Identify new product opportunities and recommend improvements to strengthen the destination portfolio.

Required profile

• Prior experience in travel, tourism, DMC, tours, attractions, or travel operations.
• Background in product management, product contracting, or destination sales.
• Strong attention to detail, especially in pricing, inclusions, exclusions, and terms.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to prepare clear quotations, itineraries, and product recommendations.
