Design Engineer – Centrifugal Pumps

About the role

The company is seeking a Design Engineer to lead the design, prototyping and commercialization of centrifugal pump series, with a focus on canned motor pumps. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver compliant, cost‑effective products that meet industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop product designs that comply with API 610, API 685, ASME Section VIII and other relevant standards.
• Create 3D models and manufacturing drawings using UG NX.
• Prepare detailed bill of materials in SAP and generate quality control/assurance plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Support cost analysis, standardization and material selection for new pump designs.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with 4‑8 years of experience, or M.E./M.Tech Mechanical with 2‑4 years of experience.
• Hands‑on experience in design and development of centrifugal and canned motor pumps.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings, standards (API, ASME) and material properties.
• Target‑oriented with good planning, coordination and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• UG NX for 3D modelling and drawing creation.
• SAP proficiency for BOM preparation.
• Knowledge of API 610, API 685 and ASME Section VIII standards.
• Experience with material selection and manufacturing processes for pump components.
• Familiarity with centrifugal pump and canned motor pump design principles.
