Design Engineer – CAD & Tooling (SolidWorks/3DEXPERIENCE)

About the role

FLS is seeking a hands‑on Design Engineer to support the development of consumable mining products and their tooling. The role focuses on high‑quality CAD modelling, drawing creation, and translating engineering concepts into manufacturable designs within a global engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Create complete drawing packages, including layouts, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials.
• Support design and development of consumable product components, moulds, tooling, and machining drawings.
• Maintain CAD standards, libraries, and engineering documentation in ENOVIA/3DEXPERIENCE.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams for design validation, tooling trials, and production improvements.
• Identify design improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong, hands‑on experience with SolidWorks 2022 (3D modelling and drafting).
• Proven ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation.
• Experience working in engineering or manufacturing environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field.
