Deputy Project Manager

About the role

Normet is seeking a Deputy Project Manager to support the R&D team in delivering new product developments for mining and construction equipment. Based in Jaipur, you will work closely with engineering, sourcing, testing and production teams to ensure projects follow the company’s Gate model and reach market on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the global Gate model process throughout product development.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams to achieve timely delivery of tasks and milestones.
• Monitor project schedules, costs and progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and escalate risks, proposing mitigation actions.
• Organise project meetings, prepare minutes and circulate memos.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent diploma).
• 4‑5 years of experience in project management within mining, construction or material handling equipment.
• Strong understanding of heavy‑equipment manufacturing processes and product development phases.
• Excellent English communication and ability to work with diverse, cross‑functional teams.
• Proven ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and manage project budgets.

Required skills

• Project Management methodologies (Gate model).
• Practical experience with ERP systems.
