Demand Planning & SIOP Leader

About the role

The Demand Planning & SIOP Leader drives FLSmidth’s global demand planning and integrated business planning process. This role ensures accurate demand visibility, aligns production capacity with sales forecasts, and supports reliable customer delivery across the mining capital equipment business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead a global SIOP framework that balances commercial and operational priorities.
• Partner with Sales, Product Line and Operations leaders to create a unified demand plan.
• Own the monthly global SIOP cycle, facilitate consensus among commercial, operational and financial stakeholders, and present key metrics to executives.
• Lead the demand planning process, integrating sales forecasts, market intelligence and project visibility to improve forecast accuracy and bias.
• Integrate capacity planning, production scheduling and resource planning into the demand plan and align it with the company’s budget and financial forecasts.
• Deploy digital planning tools, dashboards and analytics, leveraging ERP and Advanced Planning Systems (APS) for end‑to‑end visibility.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in demand planning, SIOP or integrated business planning.
• Strong ability to collaborate across Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and Finance.
• Analytical mindset with experience presenting scenario planning, risk assessments and business insights to senior leadership.
• Track record of driving process standardisation and data‑driven decision making.
