Data Scientist II – Product Data & Analytics

About the role

Join Mastercard's Product Data & Analytics team to design and deliver advanced reporting and data visualisation solutions across global products, markets and services. You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into high‑quality data products.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with global and regional teams to develop and maintain reporting and visualisation capabilities using large‑scale data sets.
• Translate business requirements into clear solution specifications and deliver on time.
• Create repeatable ETL processes, data models and reporting pipelines.
• Manipulate large databases, synthesize insights and present findings via Tableau, Power BI, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Apply data validation, quality control and cleansing to new and existing data sources.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, reporting or quantitative analysis.
• Advanced SQL skills with ability to write optimized queries for large data sets.
• Experience with data platforms such as Databricks, Cloudera Hadoop, Snowflake, SQL Server and cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, Hive, Impala, Spark and data‑pipeline tools like Alteryx or SSIS.
• Strong communication skills to present findings and engage with stakeholders.
