IT Project Manager

About the role

The IT Project Manager I leads enterprise‑wide, cross‑functional strategic initiatives for Avery Dennison. The role oversees a variety of projects such as new product launches, large‑scale application development, systems integration, BPO arrangements, operational efficiency improvements, process engineering and infrastructure upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Implement project plans and ensure delivery according to scope, schedule and quality standards.
• Define, plan, orchestrate and deliver projects while managing all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Coordinate with business‑unit IT partners, sponsors and stakeholders to validate financial forecasts and reconcile resources.
• Develop communication plans, prepare inputs for stakeholders and represent the project in governance forums.
• Chair weekly Core Team and monthly Operating Committee meetings, track milestones and report deviations.
• Manage scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost and quality parameters and escalate when necessary.
• Prepare project documentation for sponsor review.
• Provide input for key stakeholders on various aspects of initiatives.
• Represent the project in inter‑department forums.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or technology.
• Minimum three years of IT/project management experience in a multinational organization.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification preferred.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Highly organized.
• Good communication skills.
