Data Engineer II, Fire TV

About the role

Fire TV’s Advertising and Appstore team is looking for a Data Engineer II to design, build and operate scalable data pipelines that power engagement analytics, ad monetisation and app performance for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and operate data pipelines and datasets within the Fire TV domain.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows using SQL, Python and AWS services.
• Operate and optimise Redshift clusters, data‑lake tables and orchestration workflows, including monitoring, alerting and data‑quality controls.
• Automate recovery steps, create runbooks and improve operational reliability.
• Partner with Data Science, BI, Product, Finance, Engineering, Privacy and Legal to translate business and compliance requirements into data solutions.
• Support GDPR, DMA and other governance initiatives, including data‑access controls and retention workflows.
• Implement data validation, lineage, documentation and operational mechanisms to increase trust and reduce single points of failure.
• Drive modernization projects such as pipeline simplification, migration support and self‑service data enablement.

Required profile

• Proven ability to own data systems end‑to‑end and work through moderate ambiguity.
• Experience delivering reliable, automated data solutions at scale.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional stakeholders.
