Data Consultant - Logistics

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Data Consultant to design, implement, and maintain robust data models and data‑exchange solutions that support manufacturing and plant logistics operations. The role works hands‑on with business and functional teams to translate supply‑chain workflows into logical, physical, and dimensional models while developing Oracle PL/SQL mechanisms and integration pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain logical and physical data models, dimensional schemas (star/snowflake) and data‑vault structures using Oracle Data Modeler.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, packages, functions and triggers in Oracle PL/SQL tailored to operational logic.
• Build data interfaces, ETL routines and automated SFTP/FTP file‑exchange processes between ERP, WMS/MES and downstream repositories.
• Perform query optimisation, indexing and execution‑plan tuning to ensure high performance and data accuracy.
• Utilise SQL*Loader, Data Pump and other utilities for initial loads, migrations and regular feeds.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional logistics teams to gather requirements, establish data dictionaries and validate business rules.

Required profile

• B.E./B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc in Computer Science, IT or related discipline.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in data modeling, engineering and Oracle database development, including participation in at least one implementation project.

Required skills

• Oracle Data Modeler (or equivalent modeling tool).
• Advanced Oracle PL/SQL development (procedures, packages, functions, triggers).
• SQL, SQL*Loader, Data Pump and related data‑movement utilities.
• ETL design and implementation, SFTP/FTP data transfer mechanisms.
• Familiarity with Data Vault architecture (preferred).
• Experience with Databricks, Oracle APEX and PowerBI (preferred).
