Cybersecurity Expert – ISO 27001 Implementation

About the role

Global Quality Services (GQS) is seeking a Cybersecurity Expert to lead ISO 27001‑aligned Information Security Management System (ISMS) projects for clients in Bengaluru. You will design, implement and maintain security frameworks that help organisations achieve certification and continuous compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ISO 27001 gap analyses and risk assessments for client environments.
• Define, document and implement security controls, policies and procedures.
• Guide clients through internal and external audits, including surveillance and recertification.
• Provide remediation recommendations and monitor the effectiveness of security controls.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions to client stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment with ISO 27701, DPDP and other relevant standards.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in cybersecurity and information security with hands‑on experience in ISO 27001 implementation and audit readiness.
• Proven ability to work on‑site with client teams and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent analytical, documentation and communication skills.

Required skills

• ISO 27001, ISO 27701, DPDP implementation
• Application security – secure software development, vulnerability assessment, remediation
• Network security – firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation, secure network design
• Security operations – incident response, log monitoring, threat analysis
• Risk assessment methodologies and control frameworks (ISO 27002, NIST)
• Relevant certifications (ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor, CISSP, CISM) are a plus
