Cyber Security Faculty (Full‑time)

About the role

TISS Education is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Faculty member to teach Cyber Security in Kozhikode. The successful candidate will design, deliver and continuously improve undergraduate and postgraduate courses that align with industry standards and academic requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop lesson plans, lecture materials and lab exercises for cyber security subjects.
• Conduct classroom lectures, supervise practical sessions and evaluate student performance.
• Update curriculum with emerging threats, tools and technologies.
• Mentor students, provide academic guidance and support.
• Participate in departmental planning, workshops, seminars and outreach activities.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in core cyber security concepts (network security, ethical hacking, cryptography, security operations, incident response).
• Practical experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability assessment tools and SIEM platforms.
• Knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows) and scripting languages (Python, Bash).
• Understanding of information security governance, risk management and compliance standards (ISO 27001, data‑protection regulations).
• Previous teaching, training or mentoring experience with clear communication skills.
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security or related field; professional certifications (CEH, CISSP, Security+ etc.) are a plus.
