Cyber Security Analyst – Tier 1 – Hyderabad

About the role

Deloitte is looking for a motivated Analyst in Cyber Engineering to join its 24x7 Cyber Operations team in Hyderabad. You will help protect enterprise systems, infrastructure and data by monitoring security events, investigating incidents and supporting timely remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events from DLP, IDS/IPS, EDR, firewalls and system logs using Splunk SIEM.
• Investigate and respond to incidents, validate breaches and recommend mitigation actions.
• Identify emerging security exposures and document risk‑mitigation controls.
• Analyze malware, phishing, spoofing, DDoS, SQL injection and ransomware activity.
• Conduct forensic analysis of suspect systems and escalate to Tier 3 when needed.
• Stay current on threat intelligence, attack techniques and technology trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in security incident response, SOC operations or threat intelligence.
• Ability to work the 11 AM‑8 PM shift and provide rotational weekend support.
