Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Trivandrum. You will work closely with IT stakeholders to detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents while mentoring junior analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Detect and respond to information security incidents using EDR, SIEM and other tools.
• Develop, maintain, and follow procedures for security event alerting and incident response.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and provide expert security assessments.
• Communicate with IT teams during incidents to ensure effective containment and remediation.
• Report on incident metrics, analyse findings and produce comprehensive reports.
• Act as an escalation point, shift lead and mentor for junior team members.
• Analyse security events, give feedback on controls and drive process improvements.
• Maintain and improve incident response SOPs to reflect best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years overall experience, with at least 5 years in incident response, computer forensics or Security Operations.
• Proven experience in a SOC environment, including CSIRT/CERT operations.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with legal considerations in electronic discovery.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., SSCP, CEH, GCIH, GCFA, GCIA, GSEC, Security+).
