Customer Service Executive - Provisioning & Configuration

About the role

Tata Communications is seeking a Customer Service Executive focused on provisioning and configuration to support the migration of network devices from legacy platforms to newer technologies. The role involves creating detailed design and planning documents that will be used by integration teams and field technicians across the migration lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design documents for physical migration of devices (e.g., 7450 to 7750).
• Perform inside‑plant design for telecom exchanges and data centres, including rack, power and network cabling layouts.
• Plan and document network migration activities, creating end‑to‑end and single‑line diagrams.
• Utilise PNI tools such as SpatialNet, TPNI, Small World, Connect Master and Geospatial for data import/export.
• Produce documentation using Microsoft Excel, Visio and Word.
• Provide technical support for field work including fibre installation, splicing and patching to NTU.
• Maintain knowledge of core network/aggregation equipment (Alcatel Lucent/Nokia 7450 & 7750, Cisco ASR9000, DWDM).
• Work according to continuous Australia business hours.

Required profile

• Experience in telecom inside‑plant and physical connection design.
• Hands‑on experience with network migration projects and related documentation.
• Strong familiarity with PNI migration tools and Microsoft Office suite.
• Good understanding of core and aggregation network architectures.
• Willingness to work early‑shift hours aligned with Australian business time.
• Effective communication skills.
