Senior Network Engineer

About the role

Ensono is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to support and enhance network environments for its clients across India. The role involves L3/L4 operations support, designing complex network solutions, and driving network performance improvements in hybrid cloud and on‑premise settings.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L3 and L4 operations support for network communications, troubleshooting issues affecting client, backbone, or performance.
• Design, engineer, and implement complex network solutions, including security, access control, and infrastructure.
• Manage incident, request, change, event, and problem management processes for client environments.
• Monitor client network performance proactively and recommend improvements.
• Lead documentation, automation, and process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Passionate about networking with at least 6 years of relevant experience (8+ years total IT experience).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and excellent customer support capabilities.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Methodical problem‑solving skills and ability to develop detailed network designs.
• Experience with Software Defined Networking and cloud networking (AWS, Azure).

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, subnetting, and routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, eBGP, MPLS).
• Firewall expertise with Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and Cisco ASA.
• Extensive experience with Cisco routers, switches, wireless, ACS, and ISE.
• Network diagnostics and protocols such as SNMP, VPN, SSH.
• Design and implementation of AWS VPCs and Azure VNets, including Direct Connect and ExpressRoute.
• Scripting/automation using Python and Ansible.
• Load balancing technologies like F5, Netscaler, and A10.
• SDN technologies such as Cisco ACI and VMware NSX.
