Cross Technology Managed Services Engineer – L1

About the role

As a Cross Technology Managed Services Engineer (L1) at NTT DATA, you will be the first point of contact for clients, ensuring their IT infrastructure remains operational and service level agreements are met. You will work across multiple technology domains, providing first‑line support for standard and low‑complexity incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor client infrastructure, detect problems early, and respond to incidents via phone, ITSM ticket, or chat.
• Perform routine maintenance such as patching and configuration changes.
• Support incidents across two or more domains (Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications, Collaboration).
• Update or create knowledge‑base articles and suggest process optimizations.
• Assist with disaster‑recovery testing and ensure smooth shift handovers.
• Escalate and report incidents when necessary while maintaining a positive client experience.

Required profile

• Entry‑level experience troubleshooting security, network, data‑centre, systems or storage environments in a medium‑to‑large ICT organization.
• Basic understanding of management agents, redundancy concepts and ITIL processes.
• Disciplined ticket handling using defined SOPs and ITSM tools.
• Strong client‑centric attitude and ability to work with diverse cultures.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

Required skills

• ITIL fundamentals
• Proficiency with ITSM ticketing tools
• Knowledge of security, networking, data‑centre, systems and storage technologies
• Familiarity with management agents and redundancy concepts
• Experience in Cloud, Security, Networking, Applications or Collaboration environments
