Crane Electrician Technician (Crawler & Telescopic)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Crane Electrician Technician to service crawler and telescopic mobile cranes across project sites in India. The role involves diagnosing electrical faults, performing repairs, and ensuring reliable operation of heavy lifting equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on crawler and telescopic cranes.
• Read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, wiring schematics and hydraulic‑electrical interface systems.
• Diagnose faults in PLCs, sensors, relays, CAN‑bus networks, limit switches, load moment indicators and safety devices.
• Inspect, repair or replace wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, starters, controllers and electrical panels.
• Attend breakdowns on‑site, provide immediate troubleshooting support and coordinate with mechanical and hydraulic technicians.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and periodic inspections of boom, outrigger, hoist and safety interlock systems.
• Use testing equipment such as multimeters and insulation testers in accordance with OEM standards and safety procedures.

Required profile

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (additional crane maintenance certification preferred).
• 5–10 years of experience in crane electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with major crane brands (e.g., XCMG, SANY, Liebherr, Demag, Tadano).
• Ability to work independently at project sites and under breakdown conditions.

Required skills

• Reading electrical circuit diagrams and wiring schematics.
• Knowledge of CAN‑bus, PLC systems, sensors, relays, limit switches and load moment indicators.
• Proficiency with multimeters, insulation testers and other electrical testing tools.
• Understanding of hydraulic‑electrical integrated systems in crawler and telescopic cranes.
