Cost Controller

About the role

Givaudan is seeking a Cost Controller to join the site controlling team. You will be responsible for cost accounting, inventory control and cost‑control activities across manufacturing and supply‑chain functions, supporting the month‑end financial close and partnering with operations to drive financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cost accounting, inventory control and cost‑control activities for manufacturing & supply‑chain functions.
• Support the Site Controller during month‑end close and in other manufacturing & supply‑chain controlling tasks.
• Act as a business partner for Operations and Supply‑Chain, highlighting financial risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with Group policies and statutory regulations.
• Analyse and report spending by accounts and cost centres, meet with functional heads to discuss variances and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Interface with Givaudan Business Services and external auditors on cost accounting and inventory matters.
• Monitor slow‑moving, obsolete inventories, cycle‑count completeness and write‑offs.
• Update standard costs annually and analyse purchase‑price variances on a monthly basis.
• Maintain financial performance KPIs (cost/kg, yield, discards) and prepare management information.
• Identify process problems, propose solutions and assist in ad‑hoc issue resolution.

Required profile

• Experience in cost accounting and inventory control within a manufacturing or supply‑chain environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings.
• Proactive attitude, capable of managing deadlines and coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
