Corporate Legal Counsel

About the role

We are seeking a Corporate Legal Counsel to act as the principal legal advisor for Nisje Limited. Working closely with executive leadership, you will provide commercially pragmatic legal guidance across multiple jurisdictions, covering corporate governance, contracts, regulatory compliance, employment matters, M&A, risk management and litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws, regulations and internal governance frameworks across jurisdictions.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts, partnership agreements and M&A documentation.
• Advise on employment and labour law issues, supporting HR and management.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks, and manage any litigation matters.
• Support regulatory filings and maintain corporate records.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear explanations of legal risks and practical solutions.
• Travel internationally as required to support business operations.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in corporate law, commercial contracts and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to quickly research and apply new legal frameworks across jurisdictions.
• Strong judgment, excellent communication skills and confidence to challenge assumptions.
• Detail‑oriented, able to produce accurate and thorough work under pressure.
• Proactive relationship builder who works well both independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to work onsite in Trivandrum and travel internationally when needed.
