About the role

Oven Fresh is seeking a skilled Continental Chef to join its Pune kitchen team. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on delivering high‑quality continental dishes while upholding the brand’s standards for taste, freshness, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and plate a variety of continental menu items.
• Organise mise en place and manage daily kitchen workflow.
• Monitor food stock, place orders, and control portion sizes.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in all kitchen areas.
• Collaborate with the team on menu development and recipe standardisation.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Ensure timely service during peak periods and adhere to food‑safety regulations.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in continental cuisine, including preparation, cooking techniques, and plating.
• Experience in hot‑kitchen operations, sauce preparation, and oven‑based cooking.
• Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and kitchen sanitation.
• Ability to manage workflows, coordinate with team members, and handle busy service periods.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Relevant culinary diploma or certification; prior experience as a Continental Chef or similar role preferred.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and commitment to consistent quality.
