Demi Chef de Partie

About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie will support the kitchen team in preparing high‑quality meals and maintaining consistent service standards at our resort property in Pune. This full‑time, onsite position reports to the Chef and works closely with food‑and‑beverage staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; pull frozen items for proper thawing.
• Ensure correct portioning, arrangement and garnish; maintain food logs and monitor food quality and quantity.
• Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess food usage to the Chef and service staff.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling and coaching of kitchen staff; act as a role model.
• Follow safety, security and hygiene policies; report maintenance needs, accidents or unsafe conditions.
• Perform physical duties such as standing for extended periods, lifting objects up to 25 lb and reaching overhead.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification mentioned.
