Consultant – Tax, TMT & Global Compliance (New Delhi)

About the role

EY is seeking a Consultant to join its Tax, Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) and Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) team in New Delhi. You will work with leading TMT organisations, helping them navigate complex tax environments, support M&A strategies, and ensure robust compliance across jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain deep technical knowledge of direct tax laws, including the Income‑Tax Act, rules and recent judicial precedents.
• Lead the preparation, review and filing of corporate tax computations and returns.
• Conduct in‑depth tax research and provide sound positions on complex tax issues.
• Draft technical memoranda, submissions, and opinions for assessments, appeals and advisory engagements.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise clients on compliance implications.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of direct tax legislation and its practical application.
• Ability to analyse complex tax matters and communicate clear, technically sound advice.
• Attention to detail and commitment to staying current with tax developments.
