Construction Manager – Interface Management Lead

About the role

Micron Technology is seeking a Construction Manager to lead interface management across large‑scale industrial and semiconductor projects. The role will coordinate interdisciplinary construction activities, ensuring seamless integration among contractors, engineering teams and client partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all construction interactions between EPCC contractors, subcontractors, engineering, commissioning teams, vendors and client partners.
• Establish and maintain an Interface Management System (IMS) to track, monitor and resolve interface issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary construction efforts covering civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, HVAC, process utilities, cleanroom systems and facility infrastructure.
• Identify interface risks, scope overlaps, implementation gaps, access constraints and constructability conflicts.
• Facilitate interface meetings, workshops, technical discussions and daily execution reviews to ensure alignment.
• Ensure timely closure of RFIs, technical queries, change requests and coordination issues impacting progress.
• Monitor construction sequencing, area handovers, workfront availability and contractor dependencies.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Safety, Planning, Cost Controls and Commissioning teams for integrated delivery.
• Manage interface documentation such as registers, responsibility matrices, coordination logs and action trackers.
• Support schedule integration and construction planning by identifying critical interfaces affecting commissioning readiness.
• Resolve field‑level coordination conflicts related to utilities routing, equipment installation, structural clashes, shutdown planning, temporary facilities and construction access.
• Monitor contractor performance on interface responsiveness, coordination effectiveness and compliance.
• Report interface status, project constraints and risk mitigation strategies to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related field.
• Proven experience managing complex construction interfaces on large industrial or semiconductor projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate multiple disciplines and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
