Civil Engineer

About the role

The Civil Engineer will oversee building maintenance and new construction projects for PSG institutions in Coimbatore, ensuring quality, safety, and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise RR (Random Rubble) and CR (Coursed Rubble) masonry work.
• Execute waterproofing solutions for various structures.
• Install and manage partition works using gypsum board, aerocon blocks, and aluminum.
• Supervise flooring installations including tiles, marble, and concrete finishes.
• Oversee interior and exterior painting projects.
• Conduct road and drainage maintenance.
• Handle repair and installation of GI (Galvanized Iron), PC (Precast Concrete) and other materials.
• Rectify snag lists and address construction defects.
• Coordinate vendor procurement, quality checks, and delivery.
• Inspect sites for safety and quality compliance.
• Prepare project documentation, schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• B.E. or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in construction and building maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Excellent project management and multitasking abilities.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and quality standards.
