Community Manager

About the role

FTW is a private members' community of founders, operators, investors and creators. The community lives on a WhatsApp group, and you will make it the most engaging conversation of the week, acting as editor, host and connector.

Key responsibilities

• Program the conversation by seeding 1–2 high‑quality threads daily on current affairs, markets, tech, policy, culture and sport.
• Maintain a living member map, know each member’s company, projects and expertise, and use it to make introductions.
• Connect members by tagging in‑thread, arranging 1:1 intros or small‑group calls.
• Source, book and host guest calls with operators, investors, domain experts or public figures, and share concise summaries.
• Own event communication: announce, remind, drive RSVPs and bring offline event energy back into the group.
• Set and enforce community norms, handling low‑value posts and disagreements promptly.
• Track participation, thread quality, member connections and guest‑call attendance, iterating on what works.

Required profile

• Insatiably curious with a wide reading habit across business, tech, politics, science and culture.
• Deeply plugged into current affairs and often knows news before members do.
• Natural host and connector; people remember and respond to you.
• Strong writer with crisp, witty, non‑corporate voice capable of prompting high engagement.
• Discreet, high‑trust and comfortable handling sensitive senior‑level information.
• Organised enough to run a guest‑call pipeline and events calendar without dropping anything.
• 3–6 years experience in community, editorial, programming, membership clubs, journalism, events or founder/investor relations.
• Existing network in the Indian startup and investor ecosystem is a strong plus.
