Community Hospital Pharmacist – 21.6 hrs/week (Band 7)

About the role

This permanent position offers 21.6 hours per week for a Band 7 pharmacist to work across three community hospitals in the Moray area. You will join senior charge nurses and the pharmacy management team to ensure safe, timely discharges and support clinical care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medication and polypharmacy reviews for in‑patients.
• Support discharge prescribing and facilitate efficient patient releases.
• Identify and implement prescribing cost‑saving initiatives.
• Provide clinical support to hospital staff and patients.
• Collaborate closely with senior charge nurses and the pharmacy management team based in Elgin.

Required profile

• Registered pharmacist with experience in primary care or community hospital settings.
• Ability to work 21.6 hours per week on a permanent basis.
• Strong understanding of medication safety, discharge processes, and cost‑effective prescribing.
• Willingness to work across multiple community hospitals in Moray.
