About the role
The Commis I – South Indian Cuisine will join the kitchen team at Crowne Plaza Kochi, preparing authentic South Indian dishes for hotel guests. This full‑time, on‑site position requires high culinary standards, strict hygiene, and teamwork in a busy hotel environment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook South Indian menu items to the hotel’s quality standards.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and follow food safety protocols.
- Assist with food storage, ingredient preparation, and plating.
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure consistency and smooth operations.
- Keep the work area clean and sanitary at all times.
Required profile
- Proven expertise in food preparation and cooking, focusing on South Indian cuisine.
- Strong culinary knowledge of traditional recipes and presentation.
- Commitment to hygiene and safe working practices.
- Effective communication for teamwork.
- Relevant culinary arts certification or diploma preferred.
- Previous experience in a professional kitchen, especially Indian or South Indian, is an advantage.
