Clinic RN – Rolla Walk-In Clinic (Full-Time)

About the role

The Clinic RN provides direct patient care in the Rolla Walk‑In Clinic, supporting physicians and advanced practice providers. This full‑time position requires delivering assessments, treatments, testing, and education while maintaining a safe, efficient environment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow hospital policies for patient safety, infection prevention, and safe handling.
• Administer oral, IM, SC, topical, and IV medications as ordered.
• Assist providers with procedures, set up instruments, and support examinations.
• Perform phone triage, communicate test results, and act as liaison between provider and patient.
• Document chief complaints, visit details, and care accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain central lines, venous access devices, and perform point‑of‑care lab testing.
• Educate patients on MyChart enrollment and other self‑care resources.
• Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and obtain pre‑certification authorizations.
• Manage inventory of medications and supplies.
• Train RN, LPN, and MA staff in clinic operations.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license in Missouri or a Compact state.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask in a fast‑paced setting.
• Strong critical‑thinking and professional communication skills.
• Experience in nursing or healthcare preferred but not required.
