Staff / Senior Staff Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Staff or Senior Staff Engineer to lead the research, design, development and evaluation of complex medical device modules, assemblies and subsystems. The role combines technical leadership with mentorship and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end design process, translating user needs into system‑level specifications and delivering complex designs independently.
• Drive advanced prototyping, testing, and correction of product design issues while exploring new technologies.
• Mentor teams on industry standards, design history documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field.
• 7‑12 years of experience in mechanical/electro‑mechanical design for medical devices.
• Strong understanding of clinical procedures and market dynamics.

Required skills

• Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
• GD&T and CAE tools for design optimization.
• Creation of engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes and prototyping methods.
