Clinic Registered Nurse – Rolla Walk-In Clinic (Full-Time)

About the role

Phelps Health is seeking a full‑time Clinic Registered Nurse to support the Rolla Walk‑In Clinic. The RN will work closely with physicians and mid‑level providers to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced outpatient setting.

Key responsibilities

• Follow hospital policies for patient safety, infection prevention, and safe handling.
• Administer oral, IM, SC, topical, and IV medications as ordered.
• Assist providers with procedures, set up instruments, and support examinations.
• Perform phone triage, communicate test results, and act as liaison between provider and patient.
• Document chief complaints, visit details, and medication lists accurately in the medical record.
• Maintain central lines, ports, and venous access devices; perform IV push medications and flushes.
• Obtain vital signs, weight, and assist patients with MyChart enrollment.
• Conduct point‑of‑care lab testing, collect specimens, and provide patient education.
• Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and obtain prior authorizations as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license in Missouri or any Compact state.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and critical‑thinking abilities.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• IV medication administration
