Civil Head – Lead Civil Engineering Projects

About the role

The Civil Head will lead all civil engineering and construction activities for MK GROUP JOBS & PLACEMENT at its Dera Bassi site. Reporting to senior management, this full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for planning, designing, and delivering civil infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee project planning, design review, resource allocation and execution of civil infrastructure works.
• Supervise site engineers and supervisors, monitor daily site progress and resolve technical issues.
• Review drawings, estimates and specifications; prepare budgets, timelines and project reports.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations and company quality procedures.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors and clients to align expectations and deliverables.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
• Significant experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects, with prior leadership or head‑of‑department responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards, building codes and regulatory compliance.
• Proven ability to lead site teams, manage budgets and meet project deadlines.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience preparing cost estimates and using civil engineering software/tools.
• Proficiency in project planning and quality‑control processes.
