Civil Construction Engineer – Grading & Land Development

About the role

The Civil Construction Engineer will lead grading, land development and related civil works on refinery and petrochemical projects. You will ensure that all field activities follow design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret plot plans, layout drawings and supervise execution on site.
• Coordinate with surveyors to establish boundaries, reference levels and calculate cut‑fill quantities.
• Manage soil sampling, OMC and MDD testing, and conduct regular compaction tests.
• Monitor contractor performance, resource mobilization and daily progress reports.
• Verify rebar bending, BBS certification, formwork, scaffolding, handrails and safety compliance.
• Inspect concrete placement, compaction, cube sampling and fire‑proof surface finishing.
• Check placement and alignment of embedded items such as anchor bolts and insert plates before pouring.
• Ensure proper back‑filling, curing and completion of RA sheets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 6‑8 years of relevant experience, or a Diploma with 14‑16 years.
• Experience in refinery or petrochemical construction projects is highly desirable.
