Chief Medical Officer / Medical Officer for University Campus

About the role

The university is seeking a senior medical professional to lead and manage its on‑campus health services in Solan. The Chief Medical Officer / Medical Officer will provide primary care, oversee emergency response, and ensure high‑quality clinical operations for students, faculty and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver primary medical care and outpatient consultations to the university community.
• Manage emergency cases and coordinate timely referrals to external hospitals.
• Supervise clinical protocols, medical records, infection‑control and public‑health measures.
• Ensure compliance with medical regulations, ethical standards and university health policies.
• Collaborate with university leadership on wellness initiatives, preventive‑care programs and health‑awareness campaigns.
• Train non‑medical staff in basic health and safety practices.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with valid registration to practice in India.
• Post‑graduate qualification in a clinical specialty or hospital administration is desirable.
• Experience in general practice, emergency care and student health services.
• Proven ability to work with academic and administrative teams, strong communication and leadership skills.
• Prior experience in a university, institutional or community‑health setting is an advantage.
