Chef – Riverside Camp (Uttarakhand)

About the role

Wild Water Creek is seeking a full‑time Chef to lead the kitchen at its riverside camp in Bhikiyasain, Uttarakhand. You will create daily menus that showcase local and regional Indian cuisine, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients to deliver authentic dining experiences for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and serve all meals for guests and staff, ensuring high quality and presentation.
• Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies within budget, and maintain stock levels.
• Uphold strict hygiene, safety and sanitation standards in all food‑handling areas.
• Coordinate with camp management for special events, guest dietary requirements and seasonal menu changes.
• Train and guide any kitchen or support staff as needed.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of Indian and Uttarakhand regional cuisine, including traditional cooking techniques.
• Experience in menu planning and daily kitchen operations in a lodge, camp, resort or similar hospitality setting.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to adapt menus to guest preferences, dietary restrictions and seasonal ingredient availability.
• Comfortable living and working in a remote, nature‑based environment with flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
