Chef – Culinary & Kitchen Operations

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Chef to lead day‑to‑day kitchen operations at our heritage villa in Bir, Himachal Pradesh. The role is ideal for someone with basic kitchen knowledge who is passionate about food and eager to develop culinary expertise under the guidance of a culinary consultant.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily kitchen activities, including preparation, cooking, plating and service for villa guests.
• Prepare breakfast and other meals while ensuring consistent taste and quality.
• Maintain proper mise‑en‑place, kitchen organization and workflow throughout service.
• Follow standard recipes, portion sizes and presentation guidelines.
• Uphold high standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness and food safety.
• Handle ingredients responsibly, ensuring proper storage, stock rotation and waste minimisation.
• Assist with menu trials, recipe development and introduction of new dishes.
• Collaborate with the property team to ensure smooth and timely food service.
