Chartered Accountant – Direct Tax, Litigation & Advisory (4-8 yrs)

About the role

AEKE Consultancy is seeking a Chartered Accountant with 4‑8 years of experience to join its Mumbai office. The role focuses on direct tax compliance, litigation, advisory and strategic tax planning for corporate and individual clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file direct tax returns and related computations for corporate and individual clients.
• Manage tax litigation matters, draft submissions, liaise with tax authorities and support assessments and appeals.
• Provide advisory support on complex tax issues, assess tax impact of business transactions and develop tax‑efficient strategies.
• Coordinate with internal finance teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely filings and accurate reporting.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with 4‑8 years of post‑qualification experience in direct tax, litigation, advisory and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of direct tax laws, case law, statutory provisions and procedures before tax authorities.
• Solid understanding of finance fundamentals, including financial statements and cash flow analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex tax issues clearly.
