Cafe Staff – Gelato & Café Service

About the role

Join the team at Amore Gelato & Café, a franchise operated by Procons Innovations, to deliver delightful desserts and café experiences to customers in Kochi. You will work in a fast‑paced retail environment, serving gelato, shakes, beverages and café food while ensuring high standards of service and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Serve gelato, shakes, beverages, and café food items with precision and a friendly attitude.
• Attend to customers courteously at the counter and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate the POS system, process orders, payments, and handle customer queries efficiently.
• Prepare and assemble café food items according to standard operating procedures.
• Maintain consistency in product quality, presentation, and portioning standards.
• Assist with basic food preparation activities such as plating, heating, garnishing, and packaging.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bakery staff to ensure smooth and timely order fulfillment.
• Maintain kiosk/café hygiene, clean counters, equipment, and customer areas throughout the day.
• Replenish stocks of gelato, beverages, packaging materials, and other operational supplies.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and quality standards at all times.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the supervisor or store manager.
• Assist in opening and closing operations as per the duty schedule.
• Engage in upselling, product recommendations, free sampling, and promotional activities.
• Adhere to all company policies, SOPs, safety procedures, and compliance guidelines.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in food & beverage, retail or hospitality.
• Basic communication skills in Malayalam and English.
• Positive attitude, team‑player mindset, and customer‑service orientation.
• Presentable and well‑groomed appearance.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kochi.
• Students pursuing Hotel Management, Hospitality, or Tourism are welcome.
