Buyer – Technical Procurement

About the role
We are looking for a proactive Buyer to manage technical procurement for our plant operations. The role involves verifying specifications, negotiating with vendors and ensuring smooth ordering processes.
Key responsibilities
- Validate technical requirements against vendor specifications and flag any gaps.
- Initiate first‑round negotiations for assigned categories and relay outcomes to the Buying Manager.
- Float enquiries based on user needs and manage the end‑to‑end ordering process.
- Enter purchase orders and related data accurately in the SAP system.
- Address internal and external audit queries related to procurement, escalating when necessary.
Required profile
- B.Tech or B.E. degree.
- 2–6 years of experience in category‑based sourcing, preferably in a manufacturing or plant environment.
- Familiarity with supply management and vendor handling.
Required skills
- SAP procurement module.
