Business Development & In‑licensing Manager

About the role

The Business Development & In‑licensing Manager will act as the single point of contact for key alliances and drive the identification, evaluation and commercialization of new pharmaceutical products for the India market. This role combines strategic product ideation, licensing negotiations and cross‑functional project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for key alliances and manage alliance relationships.
• Identify and evaluate new product opportunities across therapies that fit the India business, including pipeline, IPM and conceptual innovations.
• Lead ideation and development of new products such as NCEs, NDDS, biosimilars, novel biologics, FDCs, first‑to‑launch and licensing products.
• Prepare business cases, term sheets and execute agreements for new opportunities.
• Coordinate commercialization activities with cross‑functional teams (marketing, finance, R&D, packaging, artwork, pharmacovigilance, legal, etc.).
• Lead discussions with licensing partners on artwork and document changes and manage regulatory submissions.
• Project‑manage product pipeline execution for internal development and third‑party sourcing.
• Develop the India region formulation portfolio and work with regulatory affairs to create SOPs and compliance frameworks for in‑licensed products.

Required profile

• 6–9 years of relevant experience in business development, licensing or product management within the pharmaceutical sector.
• Post‑graduate degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to innovate, manage processes, collaborate across functions and maintain customer focus.
• Strong stakeholder management, strategic agility and result orientation.
