Business Development Executive – Training & Partnerships

About the role

The Centre of Excellence in Design (D‑CoE) at the Indian Institute of Science seeks a dynamic Business Development Executive to lead training and partnership initiatives. You will act as the bridge between D‑CoE, startups, industry partners, and academic ecosystems, driving enrolments and enhancing the centre’s digital presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute outreach strategies to increase enrolments in D‑CoE training programmes.
• Identify and engage prospective participants from colleges, industry, and the startup community.
• Build institutional tie‑ups, manage a lead pipeline, and achieve monthly enrolment targets.
• Prepare pitch decks, brochures, and proposals to showcase D‑CoE offerings.
• Manage social media channels and website content, creating posts, reels, and event announcements.
• Utilise digital channels (WhatsApp, email, social media) to promote programmes and events.
• Maintain and update the CRM system to track interactions and opportunities.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in business development, training, partnership or related roles.
• Technical foundation combined with an MBA‑style mindset.
• Comfortable navigating college campuses, startup spaces, and industry environments.
• Strong communication skills for crafting compelling digital content.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Bangalore and Karnataka.
