Business Affairs Counsel – India

About the role

Netflix is expanding its Indian content initiative and seeks a seasoned Business Affairs Counsel to join the Mumbai team. You will work closely with creative partners, producers, and talent to structure and negotiate content deals that align with Netflix’s global streaming objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Structure, negotiate, and execute contracts for original content development, production, and licensing.
• Draft legal agreements tailored to business needs and conduct industry and territory‑specific research.
• Maintain cross‑functional alignment between legal, business, and production departments.
• Build and manage relationships with production partners and oversee outside counsel.
• Adapt to additional projects and fast‑paced demands as required.

Required profile

• 8‑10+ years of media‑entertainment experience covering drafting, commercial negotiations, and business understanding.
• Proven experience liaising with talent, production companies, studios, and financiers.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Hindi is highly preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, and strategic judgment abilities.
• Ability to work independently, proactively, and under tight deadlines.
