Baggage Screening Supervisor

About the role

The Baggage Screening Supervisor ensures safe and efficient screening of hold baggage at Adani Airports. The role focuses on compliance with aviation security regulations, detection of prohibited items, and coordination with security stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Operate X‑BIS imaging equipment to detect dangerous goods, prohibited articles, weapons, or ammunition in check‑in baggage.
• Perform physical inspections and ETD tests on baggage flagged by X‑ray screening.
• Maintain high Threat Image Projection (TIP) scores to demonstrate strong image interpretation.
• Follow BCAS and DGCA guidelines, record all findings, and ensure audit readiness.
• Conduct routine pre‑operational checks of X‑BIS, ETD, CT‑EDS and report any equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with CISF and airline staff during inspections and provide timely updates to supervisors.
• Manage time effectively to meet screening throughput targets.

Required profile

• Completed all mandatory regulatory trainings and certifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret security images accurately.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with security personnel and airline representatives.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced airport environment and adhere to strict procedural standards.

Required skills

• Operation of X‑BIS screening equipment.
• ETD (Explosive Trace Detection) testing.
• CT‑EDS equipment handling.
• Threat Image Projection (TIP) analysis.
• Knowledge of BCAS (Bureau of Civil Aviation Security) guidelines.
