Baggage Screener – Airport Security

About the role

We are seeking diligent Baggage Screeners to join our airport security team. The role involves safely screening hold baggage, detecting prohibited items, and ensuring compliance with aviation security regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate X‑BIS imaging equipment to identify dangerous goods, weapons, ammunition, and other prohibited articles in check‑in baggage.
• Conduct physical inspections and ETD (Explosive Trace Detection) tests on bags flagged by X‑ray screening.
• Maintain high Threat Image Projection (TIP) scores by demonstrating strong image interpretation capabilities.
• Perform routine pre‑operational checks and basic maintenance of X‑BIS, ETD, CT‑EDS and related security equipment.
• Document findings, record audit data, and report equipment malfunctions.
• Collaborate with CISF personnel and airline staff during inspections and resolution of suspicious items.
• Provide timely updates to supervisors on operational issues.

Required profile

• Ability to follow BCAS and DGCA guidelines and aviation security directives.
• Attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Effective communication with passengers and security stakeholders.

Required skills

• Operation of X‑BIS baggage screening systems.
• Experience with ETD (Explosive Trace Detection) testing.
• Familiarity with CT‑EDS security equipment.
