Back-End Cloud Developer – IBM Infrastructure & Technology

About the role

IBM Infrastructure & Technology is looking for a Back‑End Developer specialized in Cloud to join a global, agile team. You will design, develop and deploy robust cloud‑based solutions that support high‑resiliency, security and scalability for IBM clients worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy scalable, secure cloud applications using object‑oriented programming, multi‑threading and concurrency.
• Plan, analyze, design and implement databases with a focus on industry‑standard security practices.
• Create and integrate RESTful APIs and web services across multiple cloud platforms.
• Write efficient SQL, stored procedures or NoSQL queries to optimise data retrieval and manipulation.
• Participate in open‑source projects such as Kubernetes and contribute to community‑driven software.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Hands‑on experience developing cloud‑based applications in multi‑cloud, IaaS and PaaS environments.
• Proven experience with database security design and implementation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and consume RESTful APIs.
• Experience optimizing SQL/NoSQL queries for performance.
