AVP – Head of Finance & Accounts (Controllership)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on finance leader to own the end‑to‑end Finance & Accounts function for a multi‑entity business serving US customers. Reporting to the Leadership Team, the role will act as a strategic partner in achieving the company’s financial objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close across all entities and prepare financial statements with variance and trend analysis.
• Own enterprise cash‑flow planning, treasury, working‑capital optimisation and banking relationships.
• Strengthen internal controls, standardise processes and mitigate financial and operational risk.
• Oversee direct and indirect tax (GST, TDS, corporate tax) and Transfer Pricing for the India‑US structure.
• Manage statutory compliance, cross‑border regulatory reporting (RBI/FEMA) and US‑side filings.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, MIS, FP&A oversight and support B2B pricing models.
• Prepare Board and Committee financials, support fundraising, investor reporting and maintain the cap table, ESOP and equity accounting.
• Implement finance systems, reporting automation, BI dashboards and data‑governance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a finance function supporting a business that sells to the US market.
• Familiarity with cross‑border, multi‑entity, USD‑denominated operations and US GAAP.
• Comfort partnering with global stakeholders across time zones.
• Hands‑on leadership style with ability to act as a true business partner to senior leadership.
